working online often need places where specialized information and help are available.
Working online is especially demanding of good writing skills, and the writer's
workshop room has resources to help students succeed in online courses. Our Academic
Skills Center contains virtual language lab for multi-lingual students in
English-as-a-Second-Language and resources for speakers of other foreign languages. All students whether on virtual or real campuses can improve their academic performances by practicing test-taking, listening and note-taking, reading comprehension and giving presentations. The WWW offers rich resources for improving academic skills and we provide some of them in the study skills center. Finally, the homework room offers a change for one-to-one tutoring or discussion. |
